Richard Graves focuses his practice on real estate transactions and related issues. He regularly prepares and reviews contract and closing documents for commercial purchasers and sellers as well has handles pre-closing diligence matters. Prior to joining Gentry, Tipton & McLemore, he practiced with a well-respected Knoxville firm handling real estate transactional and litigation matters.

Richard received his J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Tennessee College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts (magna cum laude) from the University of Tennessee. He subsequently clerked for Judge Sharon G. Lee of the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, following college football, and looking forward to resuming fly fishing in the Smoky Mountains once his children reach a more manageable age.
