Mark A. Rosser

Mark A. Rosser, a native of Knoxville, is a 1975 graduate of the University of Tennessee and a 1978 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law. He served four years as house counsel for a Knoxville lending institution and then spent over twenty years in private law practice concentrating on real estate, probate, representing lenders in commercial loan transactions and general commercial matters. While in private practice he was also a title insurance agent, represented a large title insurance carrier in claims litigation and appeared successfully before the Tennessee Supreme Court in mechanics and materialmans lien litigation. He joined a national title insurance carrier in 2003 and retired from there as Vice-President and Tennessee State Counsel Emeritus in 2023. He now serves as “of counsel” to the law firm.
Mr. Rosser is admitted to practice in all Tennessee civil courts, the United States Bankruptcy Court and the United States Federal Court for the Districts of East and Middle Tennessee. He has been a frequent lecturer on real estate and/or title insurance at continuing legal education seminars and has taught training courses for realtors and bank personnel. He is a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations, is past president of the Tennessee Land Title Association and served eleven years on the City of Knoxville Industrial Development Corporation Board.
