| Teresa Rankin, a native of Ashland City, Tennessee, graduated magna cum laude from Austin Peay State University in 1989 with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 1990 and worked as an accountant and a controller/accounting manager in the manufacturing industry before attending the University of Tennessee College of Law and graduating with honors in 1998. While in law school, Ms. Rankin received the Academic Excellence Award in Evidence.
In 2000, Ms. Rankin received an advanced LL.M. degree
in Taxation from the New
York University School of Law.
Ms. Rankin has been admitted and licensed to practice in all Tennessee courts,
the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of
Tennessee and the U.S. Tax Court. She is a member of
the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the
Knoxville,
Tennessee
and American
Bar Associations.
