Katie Colocotronis grew up in Knoxville. She received
a B.A. from the University
of Virginia in 1987 and worked in the Washington
D.C. office of a Tennessee senator and for the Senate
Budget Committee from 1987-1990. She graduated from
Washington
& Lee University School of Law in 1993, magna
cum laude, and was a member of Order of the Coif and
the editorial board of the Washington
& Lee Law Review. After practicing corporate
and securities law for nine years with Hunton
& Williams in Richmond, Virginia and Knoxville,
Tennessee, Ms. Colocotronis joined Jewelry
Television as corporate counsel. While having a
primary focus on corporate and securities law, her practice
has included FTC compliance and advertising law issues
as well as compliance and planning issues associated
with a national company with international sourcing.
In December 2008, she joined Gentry, Tipton & McLemore
where her practice encompasses a wide variety of corporate
and business planning needs.
Ms. Colocotronis is a member of the Knoxville
and the Tennessee
Bar Associations.
