In recent months, the attorneys in our firm have:
- Successfully represented taxpayers in obtaining substantial refunds from the
Internal Revenue Service. In two (2) recent cases, the government was also ordered
to pay the attorney’s fees and litigation expenses incurred by the taxpayers.
- Represented Bike Athletic Company, Inc. in a successful, Chapter 11 bankruptcy
reorganization.
- Represented borrowers in financing transactions involving more than $750,000,000
in the aggregate.
- Represented the sellers in business acquisitions totaling more than $450,000,000
in the aggregate.
- Represented real estate developers in transactions during the preceding
twelve (12) months including a single project with construction and development
costs in excess of $100,000,000 and projects in a single sector with an aggregate
value of $250,000,000.
- Successfully settled a claim against officers and directors of a “dot
com” company.
- Negotiated executive compensation agreements with annual salaries in excess
of $1,000,000.
- Formed hundreds of partnerships, corporations, and limited liability companies.
- Served on the Bankruptcy Panel for the United States Trustee’s Office
for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
- Served as counsel to the unsecured creditor’s committee for Medex
Regional Laboratories, LLC.
- Represented Tennessee Valley Steel, Inc. in its Chapter 11 reorganization.
- Served as general counsel for software companies, high-tech companies,
real estate developers, managers, and brokers.
- Represented physician groups in mergers, compensation issues, practice
formations and general regulatory matters.
